Zinda Tries For Change

People across the country protested in the streets for social justice reform last summer. They are fighting for change and so is Natasha Zinda also known as Zombaekillz. She is a Twitch Streamer and at the same time, claims to be an activist.

Zinda broke the barrier in the online gaming community especially the supremacy of whites in the platform. She discussed that the space is dominated by white men. She uses her channel to address some of the lack of inclusion and representation in the gaming community. She discusses social issues too, including Prison Reform. She even uses her platform as a fundraising tool for different causes. She has raised $80,000 over the past six months to donate to the No Kid Hungry Advocacy. This fundraiser was able to feed 16,400 kids. One of the people who also got helped from Zinda is Philip Rollins. Rollins is the owner of Offbeat Comics. It is the only black-owned record store and comic books store in Jackson. He shared that he is a stereotyped kind of person but Zinda helped him in his small business. Zinda hosted an online fundraiser for him to support a safe space for black creatives and Sci-Fi fans.

With all her motivation for doing good in the world, she still receives racist comments and vulgar comments often. She even received death threats but nonetheless, she endures all the hatred and does the right thing for her kin and for the greater good of everyone.
