YouTube Responds to Ludwig

Twitch streamer Ludwig Ahgren has recently received a ban from youtube after one of his videos was flagged for “child safety.” Now, after calling out youtube, Ludwig received a response from them. Ludwig took to Twitter to announce that he had been banned from YouTube for a week after his video was flagged for “child safety.” The ban ended Ludwig’s impressive 618-day upload streak on the site and caused #FreeLudwig to trend on Twitter. While he was broadcasting, he seemed to notice that he was banned from youtube as he exclaimed; “Hold up boys… What the f***.” Then he further confirmed to his viewers saying, “I just got a community strike on my last ‘You Laugh You Lose’ video. They just took the June 15 video down. I can’t upload a video for a week. My streak’s gonna die because of a…”.

There were two portions of the video that viewers pointed out suggesting that they were potentially the reason for this suspension, but Ludwig was quick to dismiss these ideas. The first was a video of a monkey throwing its feces at a child, but as Ludwig points out, the clip was from YouTube and still remains live with a much higher view count than his own video. Then The other theory suggests that the ban came from a clip where the streamer spoke about child labor, but the streamer was not convinced that the ban could have stemmed from the clip.

Regardless, as of now, it turns out that YouTube reinstates Ludwig video as the YouTube’s help team responded to Ludwig post on twitter and said they would look into the situation. Shortly after a few hours, team youtube confirmed that twitch streamer Ludwig’s video had been reinstated, but with an age restriction. They also confirmed that his ban from uploading was lifted.
