Youtube And DrDisrespect Meet

One of the biggest names in the streaming community Herschel Beahm IV aka Dr Disrespect have recently ranted about how youtube needs to improve some things to overtake twitch and now, it seems like he is getting the opportunity to have a meeting with the head of YouTube gaming Ryan Wyatt. It all started during Dr Disrespect’s May 20th live broadcast, where his partner Zlaner asked if he could pull a clip of a particularly exciting play then Dr Disrespect responded stating; “You can’t do anything on YouTube.”

Dr Disrespect proceeded to rant about why Youtube is underdeveloped compared to Twitch. He also went on to discuss the limited rollout of clipping features and subscriber functionality and because of this, some fans and viewers have agreed to what he says. Now, the head of the YouTube gaming Ryan Wyatt responded to the clip from Dr Disrespect’s stream and shared that YouTube is working on new features for the streaming side of the platform that he believes the Doc will appreciate. Seemingly encouraged by this news, Dr Disrespect proposed a meeting of the minds as he replied on twitter; “Sit in a room with me for an hour, your whole platform would be taken to the next level for life.”

Wyatt responded in kind, offering to set up a meeting and tweeting a gif of the Doc fixing up his hair. Dr Disrespect isn’t the only streamer who has spoken out about YouTube’s lack of features as fellow youtube streamer Valkyrae spoke out on the issue in the past. While it’s unclear what this exact exchange could lead to in the future, it’s encouraging for fans and streamers to see that YouTube Gaming is keeping an ear out for constructive criticism.
