xQc Tries To Slide Into Selena Gomez’ DMs

After being dared to try by fellow streamer JustAMinx, Twitch star xQc admitted that his attempt to slide into Selena Gomez’s DMs didn’t go as intended.

One of the most well-known broadcasters on Twitch is xQc. In reality, he has over 11 million followers, making him one of the most popular broadcasters on the website. Even though he won the title of “Best Variety Streamer” at the 2023 Streamer Awards, he is not a well-known figure in the real world. (At least, not yet.) That didn’t stop him from getting his chance with Selena Gomez, a well-known actress and musician who is presently embroiled in a viral beef with Hailey Beiber.

xQc talked about his effort during a broadcast on March 24. He asserted that fellow streamer JustAMinx had dared him to risk it for his crush on a famous person. He said; “I was on a call with Minx, and she convinced me — I told her it wouldn’t work — but she convinced me to DM Selena Gomez, and I f*cking did it,”

xQc assumed this was happening on Instagram and slid into Selena’s DMs, but quickly realized that her account was closed to outside messages. “It just said, ‘This account does not accept DMs.’ And I was like, ‘Ah, man, f*ck you, man.’ Bro… f*ck you guys, man!” he laughingly told off his chat, who wasted no time poking fun at him for getting his hopes up. 

xQc is by no means the only Twitch streamer to attempt to woo their favorite star. Infatuated with SZA for some time now, Kai Cenat won Streamer of the Year at this year’s Streamer Awards. But unlike xQc, SZA genuinely paid attention to Kai and even admitted that she wanted to appear on one of his streams but refrained because she was “scared.”
