xQc Takes Aim at Ludwig’s Twitch Sub Record

Popular Twitch streamer Felix Lengyel aka xQc has announced his plans to take part in his own Subathon event and to overtake his fellow twitch streamer Ludwig Ahgren’s sub record. Twitch streamer Ludwig Ahgren made history recently as he broke the all-time record on the platform for subscribers at a single time. Ludwig’s achievement was one that came off the back of a 31-day “subathon” in which he continued to encourage his viewers to subscribe to his channel.

His ‘subathon’ very quickly went viral and because of this, Ludwig managed to broke some twitch records including Ninja’s sub record which made Ludwig become Twitch’s most subscribed streamer in the process. Now, xQc, the most-watched Twitch streamer, believes that he can smash Ludwig’s newly achieved record with his own subathon event. During xQc’s April 18th live broadcast, he has announced that he would go about attempting to break Ludwig’s record as he said that he will start his own subathon stream in around 6 weeks after Ludwig’s “so all the primes are reset,” before claiming, “we’ll beat the record by a longshot.”

There is not an official date for when the event will take place just yet, xQc aims to easily overtake Ludwig for the number one Twitch spot. Although the streamer has recently reacted to losing over 2.5 million followers on Twitch due to twitch clamping down on over 7 million bots that were found to be artificially boosting account numbers, he shows no signs of defeat. In fact, xQc seems more motivated than ever to become the new king of Twitch. xQc’s confidence is clearly high as he went on to add stating; “To make it an easier race I’m gonna put myself like one second below his threshold so it means more…I’m going to hire a couple of guys, I’m going to pre-pay them, and whenever we’re running low on content and shit like that, they’re going to donate 100 subs and we’re going to release the fake gift cap, get that shit going back up.”
