xQc Still Streaming On Twitch

Kick may be bringing on some of Twitch’s top personnel, but it’s clear that this isn’t happening permanently based on xQc’s new non-exclusive agreement with the firm.

The Juicer has streamed on Twitch virtually every day since a New York Times article revealing xQc’s transfer to Kick on June 16; he has only missed one day. Twitch has now become the way the Juicer begins his streaming day. xQc spends between two and four and a half hours on Twitch before switching to Kick, where his airtime has varied greatly from less than two hours to more than eight in a single broadcast. Although xQc’s new streaming strategy may be confusing to those outside the sector, it probably makes perfect sense to those who are familiar with it. Since Twitch is the market leader in streaming, xQc began his day with a stream there in order to maintain his already strong following.

After spending a few hours there, he informs his audience that he is leaving for Kick, where he spends the remainder of the day broadcasting on the brand-new website that receives far less traffic.

In the end, the plan is profitable for both Kick and xQc. Kick benefits from xQc using his influence to effectively promote the newer platform while streaming on Twitch, while xQc keeps what he has on Twitch. Both parties expect that the strategy will enable xQc to gradually attract more and more viewers from his Twitch streams to Kick. Although the method hasn’t yet resulted in an equal distribution of average viewers between the two streaming services, there is indications that it is at least somewhat benefiting his Kick channel.

According to Streams Charts, xQc has streamed on Kick 11 times since signing his contract, drawing an average audience of 36,000 to 55,000 viewers each time. During that time, his Twitch streams often had between 53,000 and 78,000 viewers.

Despite the fact that xQc’s contract with Kick is quite profitable, it is important to note that it is not exclusive. When most streamers think about making decisions, especially ones as significant as switching platforms, their audience is one of the first and most crucial factors they take into account. Despite being promised a sizable sum of money, it’s possible that xQc would not have accepted to leave Twitch if Kick hadn’t given him the flexibility of a non-exclusive contract.
