xQc Loses $800k!

A server fault led to xQc losing his winnings after breaking The Wild Machine’s Big Win record and winning more than $800,000.

The French-Canadian streamer xQc declared in June 2021 that he would be giving up online gambling. This choice was made after he acknowledged that he had a mild gambling addiction and that a few thousand of his viewers had started gambling using his promo code. But in 2022, xQc would go back to stream gambling and lose more money than ever. On his podcast with Pokimane, he referred to his addiction as a “illness” and even discussed his multi-million dollar losses.

xQc continues to gamble on stream, depositing thousands of dollars at virtual slot machines in a matter of seconds, despite repeated criticism and millions of dollars wasted. The streamer, however, recently suffered a significant loss owing to an internal server error.

The Juicer was playing The Wild Machine on Stake.com four hours into a gambling session on June 20, 2022. After a number of significant and minor wins, xQc obtained the $825k huge victory that set a global record. Following his victory, xQc swung his mouse up to the top left corner of the screen to press the refresh button and carry on playing, but he soon realized it was a mistake.

The text “500 Internal Server Error” displayed on a white screen as the page refreshed. Before exploding in a wrath, xQc took a moment to digest what had just transpired. Pulling his hair out and gesturing with his body, xQc yelled; “No! What did I do! F**k, I’m so dumb!”

After his outburst, he would sink into his chair and spend a few seconds just staring at the bright screen. Once he came to, the streamer was actually quite optimistic. He stated, “You know what? It saved me. I was gonna go back to Itero and it was gonna go one mil downwards trend without a single hint of a hit.”
