XQC Loses 2.6 Million Twitch Followers

Popular Twitch Streamer and Former Overwatch League player Felix Lengyel AKA xQc loses 2.6 million followers on streaming platform Twitch.

Streaming platform Twitch recently discovered that there are 7.5 million bots who were working as followers and viewers. They decided to remove all of them and many streamers, and even popular streamer xQc got affected by it. His stat quickly changed and lost a large amount of followers.

According to Twitch, bots are used to improve machine learning programs and it works according to the streamer/user’s command. People using bots get them the advantage to increase their number of viewers. Streamers and content creators also use bots to increase their number of followers.

Twitch posted and explained that they have been monitoring the fake engagement and viewership on their platform and identified that 7.5m+ accounts break their Terms Of Service by follow-botting and view-botting. They assured their users that they are now taking action on these accounts and appreciate all the reports given to them about that issue.

With the recent discovery by Twitch, the removal of the bot causes a huge loss for lots of streamers. Many popular content creators were also affected by it.

xQc is now left with 5.5 million twitch followers after he lost 2.6 million bot followers. Sodapoppin also lost 3.3 million followers in a week. Ninja was also affected but not too much, he only lost 200,000 followers. It is less compared to xQc who lost lots of followers.

These content creators are not affected by it but are surprisingly welcoming this. They thanked Twitch for finally doing action about the bots and said that they are actually waiting for them for a long time.

Twitch is now punishing the botters who kept on making bots and for commanding them to bot streamers.
