xQc Calls ZULUL Supporters Racist

Twitch streamer Felix Lengyel famously known as xQc has been calling out racist people who want to once again see the emote ZULUL that it should return to the twitch streaming platform. ZULUL is a variation of the Twitch global emote LUL. ZULUL took this same emote, but made the skin darker. For obvious reasons, this was viewed as problematic by some, not only because of how the emote was used, but it was also essentially an emote in blackface.

Earlier in February 2021, Twitch add-on Better Twitch TV removed and replaced the ‘ZULUL’ emote, as some have labeled it “racist” and an imitation of blackface. Even though some in the streaming community have argued for its return, the platform has kept it unavailable. Now, during one of twitch streamer xQc’s live broadcast, he have decided to speak out to the controversy and he seems to be frustrated at the people who keep demanding for ZULUL’s return. xQc did not hold back in calling out those people as he stated; “The lengths that the racists go to justify their shit is fucking insane. Out of every possible word out there, they can’t use one.”

Then he further mocked those twitch users who want the ZULUL emote to return on twitch platform. Yeah, but this, that, this, censoring, first amendment rights, second amendment juicer! I can’t blackface?! But this is art!” xQc finished his statement regarding the ZULUL emote controversy saying “you’re not an artist, you’re a racist,” He has clearly no patience when talking about the ZULUL emote controversy and also much of his viewers and chat have seemed to be in agreement with him.
