xQc Blasts ‘Unfair’ Among Us Game Awards Win

One of the most popular twitch streamers Felix Lengyel aka xQc has turned out to be upset about the result of the recent 2020 Game Awards as the popular multiplayer game Among Us developed by Innersloth won for the best multiplayer game.

The game Among Us took the coveted title instead of Valorant, Fall Guys, Animal Crossing, and Call of Duty: Warzone. He shared his thoughts regarding this and stated that he felt that other titles such as CoD warzone were more deserving of the award. During one of his streams, he started ranting; “VR games and Warzone make elaborate, insane, network infrastructures that are hard to maintain and keep up for the players. And they do it with meticulous detail, They pop off. One hundred player lobbies, always doing well, never lagging. Fuck these guys, man. So unfair dude. It shouldn’t be this way.”

Also, other gamers have felt that it was strange to give a game released in 2018 that title two years later while others thinks that it wasn’t popular for long enough to earn the title and was simply a fad. The game Among Us was said to have died down in popularity in general while the game Call of Duty: Warzone still continues to thrive. The player base has reached 75 million since it was released in March.
