Why Was Dr Disrespect Banned?

Twitch’s new feature may finally reveal the reason why Twitch permanently banned Former Twitch Streamer Dr Disrespect. It’s almost a year since the Dr. has been banned on the streaming platform and no specific and concrete reason behind it has been explained. Both Twitch and Dr Disrespect are silent about it and not sharing any information behind it but that might change soon because the new feature of twitch called ‘Brand Safety Score’ might soon reveal the reason why.

Twitch shared some information about their upcoming feature in their platform. It is called ‘Brand Safety Score’ and using this new feature will automatically grade every streamer and how brand-friendly the streamer is based on their performance, ban history and chat behavior. This new feature apparently is for providing advertisers more data so they don’t advertise bad and problematic streamers.

One user on twitter quote retweeted the post of Daylam Tayari saying that it’s huge news knowing that twitch is using infos such as ban history and chat behaviors for ads and bounties/sponsors purposes. Ban reasons are also included in this information which is why Dr Disrespect could finally find out why he was permanently banned by Twitch.

If this new feature will be in the works soon, there’s a good chance that the reason behind Dr Disrespect’s mysterious ban and the biggest question of 2020 will finally have an answer but the new change and feature itself is still unofficial and is presently just speculation.
