Warzone Team Banned

On January 21st, the $250K Twitch Rivals Doritos Bowl Warzone event happened. This is considered one of the biggest warzone events in history. Fans were waiting for this. There are set rules in every event. Unfortunately, there were alleged cheaters in the event that caused them to be disqualified from the competition ahead of the closing round.

During the Five-rounds of private lobby action, the Warzone’s veteran competitors began to notice that there was cheating in the tournament. Once they noticed this, Resident Warzone Investigator Tommey began to dissect the footage. He suspected the cheater immediately moved the “locked onto an opposing player” in the record. These were disqualifications after this incident. The Trio of METZY_B, kyrptic_j0ker, & Unifyz were considered to be the cheaters.

The ban became effective in the fifth and final match. Event host Caleb ‘WavePunk’ explained that there were some sources in and out of the tournament that determined that the way of play was unnatural beyond a reasonable doubt especially when METZY_B was extremely sharp.

During the allegations, the players requested for restart of the whole event but it continued anyway. After the event, Champions were awarded and the prize was divided justly. Players who witnessed the cheating encouraged having an effective anti-cheat system for the next tournament.
