Video Games Aren’t to Blame for Mass Shootings According To JackSepticEye and Philip DeFranco

Phillip DeFranco is a YouTuber with more than 6.42 million subscribers. Jacksepticeye is a streamer in Twitch and also a YouTuber. Last year, there was a horrific mass shooting in El Paso, Texas. There were 22 dead in Texas while 9 people were killed and 27 injured in Dayton, Ohio.

President Donald Trump puts one of the blames on video games and sayid that it can lead to the “glorification of violence”. Donald Trump said; “It is too easy today for troubled youth to surround themselves with a culture that celebrates violence. We must stop or substantially reduce this, and it has to begin immediately”. However, many gamers, streamers and YouTubers including Jacksepticeye and Phillip DeFranco denied the claim that the video games are to blame for mass shootings.

Phillip said; “If the effort these people put into blaming video games for real-world mass murder was instead placed into finding a real solution to this problem, then maybe something would actually get done”.

Jacksepticeye also responded; “Videogames and gaming communities have done so much good for people. They’ve changed the lives of so many of my friends for the better. Stop blaming them for the disgusting acts of violence that keep happening instead of dealing with the real root of the problem”.
