Valorant Makes Shroud Fear For The Future Of CSGO

During one of Twitch star Shroud’s recent live broadcasts, he explained why the game Valorant has caused him to fear for the future of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Michael Grzesiek famously known as Shroud is one of the most popular twitch streamers, who sits as the third biggest streamer on twitch.

He is known for playing first-person shooter and battle royale games such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Apex Legends, Escape from Tarkov, Valorant, and more. Shroud is always open about his opinion on games as his opinion carries a lot of weight. During one of his recent live broadcasts, he worried for CS as he warned that if CS devs at Valve don’t freshen the game up, it could end up being left to die with the emergence of Valorant as a viable competitor.

Shroud is concerned over the lack of new content in CS, compared to its Riot Games counterpart. He stated; “What is CS gonna do? I worry for CS if they don’t do something new and nice. I would not be surprised if they let CS die, but I would doubt it.” Shroud also stated before that Valorant will truly take off as an esport as soon as LAN tournaments enter the scene, and explained how CS:GO’s massive problems with cheaters makes Valorant increasingly appealing to FPS players.
