Valkyrae Responds After Receiving Backlash

Popular YouTuber and Former Twitch Streamer Rachell Hofstetter AKA Valkyrae responded to backlash after she received an incredibly rare collectible card in GTA RP of the late streamer blue622 and asked if she could sell it.

Kenny Tancredi AKA Blue622 unfortunately passed away last July of 2020. The news saddened many people in the community, especially the entire GTA RP community where he helped build up the massive popularity of the server, NoPixel.

Users and players wanted to make sure Blue622’s legacy remained inside the game and in order to do so, they introduced to the server a special ‘Boe Jangles’ collectible card as a tribute to blue622 and his RP character.

The rare item can only be obtained by opening special packs and it is roughly a 1 in 10,000 chance of appearing.

Valkyrae managed to obtain the rare collectible while she’s live streaming and then she suggest that she was going to sell the card and people in the community weren’t happy about it which led to a lot of backlash against her.

She obtained the rare collectible card last May 26th and she, herself couldn’t believe that she just did and that she’s very lucky to obtain such a rare card but to her curiosity, she asked how much does it cost and how much does it go for.

Many are not pleased by her reaction and said that thinking to sell such a rare card is disrespectful knowing that it means so much to the GTA RP community. Valkyrae responded and said that she was under the impression that she would sell cards but she doesn’t know what to do because people are mad at her for wanting to sell the card but she said that she figured that she’d sell it to someone that it would have sentimental value to.

Twitch Streamer Ramee saw the criticism Valkyrae was getting and shared some messages from the creator of the ‘Boe Jangles’ card. The creator said that they are sad that there has been a drama around Valkyrae wanting to sell the card as it’s obviously obvious that she’s acting in good faith.

Ramee continuously defended Valkyrae and told his viewers to stop criticizing Valkyrae and said that chat should stop being brain dead and stop making her not want to play the game because of the brain dead viewers.

It is now clear to some that Valkyrae didn’t mean to disrespect the memory of Blue622 and agrees that she should be able to sell the item to people who meant it more than her. As of now, it is still unclear whether she would sell it or not or if she will hold on to it to prevent more drama and backlash from the GTA RP community.
