Valkyrae Lashes Out At Her Chat

YouTuber, Co-owner of 100Thieves and Former Twitch Streamer Rachel Hofstetter AKA Valkyrae expressed her disappointment by the actions of her viewers and chat’s behavior. She said that most of them seem to become more and more toxic with each passing day.

During her recent Among us stream, she made a harmless joke to her fellow streamer Leslie, at the expense of her who kept on dying in-game. She made a joke and said “LLM”. According to her, LLM means ‘Leslie’s Life Matters’.

Some of her chat quickly took advantage of her joke and proceeded to poke fun at the “Black Lives Matter” movement.

Valkyrae quickly defended herself and the BLM movement. She said she’s guilty about that and it wasn’t her intention to make fun at the BLM movement. She just wants to joke about her fellow streamer Leslie who kept dying in-game but that doesn’t mean that she also wants to make fun of the BLM movement.

She felt disappointed and cried while explaining her side. She said it wasn’t her intention to hurt certain people because of her harmless joke. She couldn’t believe that such people will mock BLM and that she’s the one who unconsciously initiated it.

Valkyrae furthermore explained that her LLM comment and BLM movement is not comparable and that it’s not a ‘fucking joke’.

She expressed her disappointment and said that whoever joked about the BLM movement will get their karma that they deserve and that she hates them so much. She turned off her stream for a while because of her being emotional about the comments her chat made.

She returned a couple minutes later and still tried to keep her emotions in check. She said that she really just felt guilty for initiating the trolls and said that they are really disrespectful and insensitive. She explained that she’s crying because she’s pissed about it and super disappointed because BLM movement is not something to joke about.

Valkyrae announced on her official Twitter account that she will take a few days off streaming and use it to focus on herself first.

Many of her fans supported her and said that she must take a break and that she didn’t deserve to put in that kind of position. Some said that it wasn’t her fault at all and that she must not blame herself for her chat’s behavior.

She was praised for how she stood against her chat’s behavior and many now respect her for doing so.
