Twitch Updated Policy

Many popular streamers and Fortnite content creators on Twitch have been no less experiencing a roller coaster ride-like these past few months. Big names like Tfue, Ninja, xQc, Fortnite pro Ronaldo, Clix and many more have been struggling because of the strict rule implementation of the streaming platform Twitch.

Streaming platform Twitch is known for being too strict regarding its community guidelines. No one stops them from banning or disqualifying any content creators for violating and not following their guidelines.

Most recently, they disqualified Former Fortnite pro player Tfue and his team from their minecraft competition win. Tfue then declared that he will no longer take part in any tournaments of Twitch Rival.

Fans of Tfue are still in the ongoing drama between him and Twitch. Amidst all that happened and the chaos, Twitch still decided that they will now monitor all the activities of Fortnite pro players on other social media platforms like Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.

Fortnite content creator Arab shared on his Twitter account about how Twitch monitors all the social media of Fortnite creators. He said that he received an email from Twitch about enforcing the update of their Hateful Conduct and Harassment Policy.

According to Arab, the email states that Twitch has partnered with a third-party investigator firm, for them to check on the ‘off-service’ behavior of Fortnite streamers. It now seems that any actions of streamers outside streaming platform Twitch can also lead to them getting banned.

Arab was disappointed about Twitch’s email and ranted about it on Twitter. He said that he always knew that he would be banned whatever he did by Twitch whether he did it on Twitch or somewhere else. According to him, this is an obvious threat to his streaming career and that he does not agree with getting punished for something that he didn’t do on Twitch. He also believes that such rules will eventually lead to a large number of bans.

Arab is just one of many content creators who received email from Twitch and from the looks of it, the streaming platform Twitch is keen on monitoring their streamers, which includes many prominent names from the Fortnite community.

Twitch’s updated policy seems like they are controlling the emotions of their streamers and content creators. Many feel like it’s uncomfortable to show and express their emotion because any small thing they do on the platform or outside of it, Twitch will certainly not hesitate on banning them.
