Twitch Bans Zain For Insensitive Slippi Tag

One of the world’s best Super Smash Bros Melee players Zain Naghmi was handed a seven-day ban from streaming platform Twitch.

Twitch banned Zain for his use of Meatspin.com as a tag in a Slippi online event in which ended up wearing it as a result of a tweet from his org and Ludwig Ahgren. The said tweet was made last June 24th, with the org tried using and tested engagement-bait tactic of saying “the most liked reply to this tweet will get X” and in this case, the X turned out to be the right to pic Zain’s tag for an online event.

The said name is said to be a reference to an old internet meme of two gay men having sex and it was suggested by Ludwig Ahgren. Zain’s org made the original tweet and that caused the said event and then allowed Zain to go ahead. Knowing twitch’s strict implementation of their terms of service, Zain received his first-ever suspension.
