Twitch Bans The Term “Hot Tub Streamer”

Streaming platform Twitch banned the term “Hot Tub Streamer” from their official channel’s chat.

One user from Reddit shared a screenshot of the ban happening during an actual Twitch stream after someone wrote the term “Hot Tub Streamers” in the chat. The user shared that an automatic message will appear saying that the term/message wasn’t posted due to the conflicts with the channel’s moderation settings.

This immediately riled up the Gaming and Twitch community knowing that they already showed less interest on how they respond to the ongoing complaints about the new meta on Twitch.

A series of complaints from the users of the streaming platform are being posted saying that they felt that they were being silenced and banning the term “Hot Tub Streamer” felt like that Twitch is avoiding any action regarding the continued frustrations with the number of hot tub streamers and streams.

Some said that instead of responding to people’s concerns and arguments, the streaming platform appeared to be silencing anyone who spoke up on the channel.

As the number of people complaining on Twitch continuously grows, many assume that Twitch has apparently attempted to suppress the growing controversy and issue by banning the term from their official channel.

Twitch still hasn’t addressed the recent change and many are waiting for the explanation why they ban the term and what’s the reason behind their action.
