Adin Ross is a Twitch Streamer now turned into a YouTuber. Over the past couple of months, he has aligned himself with hip-hop artists and doing so, he formed a particularly tight bond with Cactus Jack Crew and Sheck Wes.
With his sudden rise in fame there’s also a controversy. Adin Ross was remporarily suspended before when a guest of his show named ZIAS, who’s a YouTuber used homophobic slurs on air. His fame also was because of his immature contents, ‘sus raps’, and making gay jokes.
His followers and viewers grow each day. Being in the rap world helps him to reach that kind of popularity that’s why he said that he’s planning to become more involved in it as time goes on.
Adin’s presence in the rap world is inescapable. He is known for playing and streaming video games like Grand Theft Auto and NBA 2K. He said that being a gamer is fun but he thinks that he is more of an entertainer than a gamer.
He may seem like a teenager gamer who always shouts and yells for attention but doing so, he has become more successful and actually getting much-much attention. He has now three million followers on Twitch and 800,000 followers on Instagram. His Youtube channel has nearly a million subscribers and more people are now drawn to his channel.
He also found more success when he moved away from video games and switched to inviting celebrities and popular rappers onto his Twitch streams, YouTube vlogs and freestyles.
In early 2021, things have been escalating quickly for Ross. Another viral moment of him that attracted new followers is when he hosted a new meta called HotTub stream with his fellowYouTuber and Twitch Streamer Corinna Kopf. his followers spiked even more when he decided to create different content featuring A-List rappers.
He shared how he first made a connection with a rapper who also happened to be a Twitch Streamer. He said that it started with Tee Grizzley, and that is the first hip-hop artist streamed with. He also shared how he connected with Lil Yachty, saying that during one of Yachty’s streams, he jumped in his chat and from there, they both formed a relationship and became close.
Adin’s audience is growing and his connections with rappers are also expanding. Many artists are now reaching out to him and also want to get involved with his streams.
Most of the time, he’s acting gay but he made it clear in one of his stream that he wasn’t. He also points out that he has a girlfriend and he’s had girlfriends in the past. Acting like a gay results to him received many critism saying that what he’s doing is offensive.Some says that it is cringey and unacceptable knowing that most of his followers are minors and underage. They said that he is only teaching them to mock gays even more and that it’s normal to do so.
His back-and-forth appearance in different hip-hop pages made people get more interested in him. His edgy humor and insensitive personality makes him more popular. Ross admits that he wants to continue expanding and grow his audience as large as possible.
Making “sus” content might help him grow his audience but more serious controversies and backlash will come to him in the future if he continues to do so.
