The Reason Why Corpse Husband Wears a Mask

Corpse Husband is a “faceless” YouTube influencer, but he has a technique to avoid revealing his identity when the inevitable IRL meeting occurs.

Corpse Husband is a well-known YouTuber and musician who is recognized for his deep voice. He’s been on YouTube for a while, but it wasn’t until late 2020 that he became well-known after taking part in live streams with other famous broadcasters. Since then, Corpse has amassed over 7 million YouTube subscribers, released a song with Machine Gun Kelly, and landed a major part in Funimation’s Tribe Nine anime.

Corpse’s fame comes with a few important restrictions for the influencer, especially that he never shows his face. Corpse has previously stated that he is terrified of people seeing his face and never publishes images of himself.

Corpse has previously represented himself with an animated avatar or collaborated with other individuals and companies entirely online. Corpse wears a mask since he has to attend real-life meetings as his fame grows (outside of global health concerns, of course).

When asked about going out and meeting people while wearing a mask during a livestream, his answer was; “The vocals would be a bit warped because of the mask.”

Unfortunately, wearing a mask limits his capacity to speak effectively because the material can interfere with his deep voice’s sound output. He added; “Even already, when I use a mask to talk to people in person, it cuts out some of my voice.”

Despite the challenges that wearing a mask adds to his communication, Corpse appears to have figured out a means to get around IRL meetings as best he can while being “very, very busy” with upcoming projects.
