The Ironmouse Subathon Ends

The subathon hosted by VTuber Ironmouse has come to an end. In February, Ironmouse began an uncapped subathon, adding to the clock each time she received a donation or subscription. After only two weeks, the animated streamer had become the most-subscribed female Twitch streamer, and then the most-subscribed streamer overall a few days later. Ironmouse’s subathon has come to a conclusion after 31 days of streaming.

Ironmouse announced the end of the subathon on stream on March 7, declaring herself “free.”

Ironmouse had over 170,000 active subscribers at the end of the month-long subathon. According to Twitch Tracker, she has 171,800 subscribers, with over 145,000 of them having been awarded. Almost every subscription is Tier 1, which costs $4.99 per month. Even if all of her subscriptions were Tier 1, her channel’s subscriptions would amount well over $850,000. It’s uncertain how many subscribers will stick around beyond this month, especially since some gifted subscribers may not opt to renew their subscriptions once the free trial period ends.

Other streamers are starting to participate in subathons as they become more popular. Tubbo, a Minecraft streamer, is now performing a “Tubbothon,” in which he has amassed 40,000 subscribers in just six days. More smaller streamers have been undertaking subathons for more than 100 days.

Ironmouse said; “The fact anybody wants to spend any time with me at all is surprising to me. I don’t feel like a pretty interesting person, I feel like I’m relatively boring, and there’s a lot more people who are way more entertaining with me. I’ll never forget this month for the rest of my life. I’ll take these memories to my grave.”
