Team Vitality Fined $10,000

The BLAST Global Finals incident with Team Vitality happened when the team were spotted using TV.

Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) saw the TV in the background of the player cams. They will be able to stream the matches on Twitch. This incident should not have happened because the team can use this as an advantage and they can obtain some information from the footage.

After the investigation, the ESIC concluded that there was no malicious intent for using the TV which is why they did not disqualify the team. Instead they fined them an amount of $10,000. The ESIC also decided that the money received from Team Vitality will be used for charity purposes as a part of their Code of Conduct. The ESIC will donate the money to a deserving charity.
