Tarik Signs Up With Sentinels

One of the most popular Valorant streamers on Twitch, Tarik “tarik” Celik, has joined fan-favorite esports organization Sentinels as a content creator.

As he joins the already illustrious Sentinels roster, the news has naturally generated a stir in the esports community. The former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) pro has risen to the top of Twitch’s most popular streamers. He regularly draws in thousands of viewers and has achieved astounding numbers while co-hosting official Valorant streams.

The moment Shroud entered the competitive playing field for the first time during the most recent North American Qualifiers, he massively passed the 200K concurrent viewer milestone. In the world of FPS streaming, Tarik is a true giant. On Twitch, he has played Valorant for almost 3,000 hours. The content creator started livestreaming on the platform back in 2016, and as of right now, he has 2.1 million followers. He often has 36K concurrent viewers, according to Twitch Tracker.

He has undeniably become a major esports personality, with his tournament co-streams overshadowing even official broadcasts.

With ShaZam and TenZ serving as their main streaming faces, Sentinels have also been at the forefront of the Valorant community. After Shroud, Tarik is the second former Cloud 9 CS legend to join Sentinels. Not to mention TenZ, who left their roster for Valorant in 2021. Even during his CS days, IGL ShaZam of the Sentinels spent a short time in Cloud 9.

Fans of esports who flocked to social media after today’s news were well aware of this fact. One person on Twitter made a hilarious joke about it: “SEN is officially the retirement home of C9”

Tarik quit playing Counter-Strike professionally in 2021 and has been streaming Valorant ever since. He was a member of Evil Geniuses. His greatest achievement as a competitive player came when he and Cloud 9 won the ELEAGUE Major: Boston 2018.
