Sweet Anita Slams TikTok

Popular female streamer Sweet Anita has hit out at Tiktok after the platform has been continuing to take down her videos over Tourettes tics. Sweet Anita is a popular English Twitch streamer and YouTuber who has always been open regarding her condition. She was diagnosed with a rare form of Tourette’s syndrome with coprolalia at the age of 24. She exhibited symptoms of the disorder throughout her teenage years and could only participate in formal education for a year because of her tics.

Her tics cause her to involuntary swear, utter obscene words, and make socially inappropriate remarks, which sometimes has gotten her in trouble in the past. But then she overcame the odds and has cemented her place as one of the biggest streamers on Twitch. Now, it seems like she was having trouble on tiktok as the platform has been keeping on taking her videos down with tics. Considering the social media giants don’t appear to be doing the same to others with her condition, Sweet Anita claimed that she feels like she was being left out.

SweetAnita posted a series of tweets on her twitter account addressing her situation on tiktok. She mentioned that she appealed every time it happened but according to her; “all of the algorithm revolves around the views in the first 24 hours so it basically kills every upload even when I get the decision reversed.” However, Some fans assured her she wasn’t the only person with Tourette’s experiencing these issues with TikTok as some believe it has something to do with the moderation system.
