Streamer WeFoundTheBody Under Fire

WeFoundTheBody, a Twitch streamer who called out a user for “trauma dumping” in his chat, has apologized in a video after receiving negative feedback.

WeFoundTheBody noticed fellow streamer MissNerdyCurvy was back in his chat on a recent live after taking a break from the community. MissNerdyCurvy is one of their Twitch admirers. Where the fuck had she been, he demanded of her. She replied that her mother had passed away, and WeFoundTheBody reacted angrily at once.

He responded; “Oh my g… you know what we’re not gonna do? We’re not gonna talk about that in my chat. Because it’s Friday and that’s a whole big bucket of bummer. I’m sorry for your loss but we’re not doing that in my fucking chat,”

WeFoundTheBody went on to claim that in order to avoid spreading “heavy news” on Twitch and because it is “bad etiquette” and “not the place,” he expected his viewers to keep things light in chat or be evasive when discussing their unfavorable emotions and experiences.

MissNerdyCurvy responded in a TwitLonger saying; “As a streamer I can highly understand how uncomfortable it is when someone trauma dumps or drops heavy news like that and it wasn’t my intention. I know that if it was me being told that news it would of ended differently. I would of said something like, ‘Oh no, I’m so sorry for your loss. I know that has to be super hard on you right now, but since I’m streaming and cannot give the proper time and attention for this conversation that’s deep how about you reach out to me privately or something and we can talk about it more.’ I would of done something along the line of that instead of shitting on someone who is deeply hurt and has been following for a long time.”

After the exchange, MissNerdyCurvy stopped following WeFoundTheBody everywhere. The streaming community informed MissNerdyCurvy in reaction to her TwitLonger that she was not “trauma dumping” and had merely answered his inquiry.

Many people noted that instead of yelling at her for such a long time, he might have simply said, “Sorry for your loss,” and moved on. Others felt sorry for MissNerdyCurvy since she seemed to be a devoted follower for a long time but was nevertheless treated disrespectfully and coldly. WeFoundTheBody decided to create an apology video as the criticism persisted. He acknowledged in the video that his channel’s viewers are aware of how poorly he handles distressing or serious news on his stream.

WeFoundTheBody stated, “This has been made clear many times over the past four-plus years,”

WeFoundTheBody said, adding he has a text in his chat that further emphasizes this point. Additionally, he claimed MissNerdyCurvy had taken over his chat by bringing up the topic three times and had edited and chopped his replies.

He noted that despite having previously had his concerns about trauma dumping addressed, he has continued to “violate this expectation,” including by disclosing private details of an abusive relationship. They later discussed her relationship in Discord, according to WeFoundTheBody. However, some Twitter users weren’t happy with his apology.

It was noted that the same day, he had made some critical remarks on-stream that seemed to contradict his own assertion. WeFoundTheBody called people “whining pussies” and “obnoxious little bitches” in one circulated video clip. Some well-known video producers took notice of WeFoundTheBody’s actions and earlier today blasted him further. Many people discussed their personal experiences with losing a parent in the YouTube comments of Charles “MoistCr1TiKaL” White Jr.’s most recent video on the issue and argued that the circumstance might have been handled with a lot more respect and care.

WeFoundTheBody apologized to NerdyCurvy on Twitter; “In response to NerdyCurvy/my reaction to the news she shared in chat while I was live: My apologies to her. That was a cunty reaction. I shouldn’t have been such a douche. I was just annoyed from the repeated trauma dumping that had been happening that week. My mistake.”
