Streamer Sodapoppin Stuns TwitchCon Hosts

Chance “Sodapoppin” Morris, a popular Twitch streamer, is now a co-owner of One True King, but that hasn’t prevented him from being his normal frank self, which is what his followers love about him.

The honest celebrity participated in the TwitchCon San Diego Ultimate Challenge Gauntlet on Sunday, Oct. 9, where he was pitted against fellow streaming celebrity Nick “Nmplol” Polom in a series of real-world tasks. He informed the host that he didn’t particularly like it though.

When Jeremy “DisguisedToast” Wang and Albert “BoxBox” Zheng’s names were drawn from the hat, the host questioned Sodapoppin as to why he thought they felt “crestfallen.” Instead of playing into it by saying something along the lines of “because we’re good,” Sodapoppin told him straight out what he thought. He said; “I think he feels bad because he knows, you know, me and Nick really don’t want to be here. So, we’re just doing the utmost we can.”

At least based on his response, it appeared that the host was surprised. Nmplol intervened to make things more comfortable. He said; “It’s not that we don’t want to be here. It’s that we’re not skilled enough. I’ve never played Jenga before. That was my first paper airplane. I’m very sheltered.”

The answer from Nmplol was more in line with what the host probably anticipated hearing. So he was able to capitalize on it and work to energize the audience. Sodapoppin, in the meantime, peered about and grinned menacingly. On social media, his followers have a good laugh over it as well.
