Twitch Streamer Finds Valuable Gold Coin With Metal Detector

Twitch streamer poshjosh1999 found a valuable gold coin using his metal detector during one of his IRL live broadcasts and he was completely overjoyed. During Poshjosh1999’s IRL recent live broadcast on twitch, he was just wandering around in a grassy area when his metal detector suddenly started beeping.

Poshjosh1999 reached into the dirt and he was completely shocked when he pulled out a gold coin. He exclaimed; “It’s a gold coin! It’s a spade guinea of George the third, I think! I said there would be gold here! Oh, yes!” Poshjosh1999 was clearly so amazed that he nearly broke into song and dance. According to him, he had always wanted to find a gold coin, but had never had the luck that’s why he was so excited and delighted with his recent find.

Helding the coin into his hand, cleaning it a bit in order to get a better look, he stated; “That is… that is glorious. It’s so heavy as well.” He further discovered that it was in fact from 1788 which is over two hundred years old. According to recent eBay listings, a 1778 George III coin can sell for well over $1,000. It will be interesting to see if Josh decides to keep the coin or potentially sell it at some point, but considering how excited he was to finally have one, it seems like he’s going to be holding onto it for the foreseeable future.
