Streamer DrWitnesser Has Been Called Out

Well-known Christian streamer DrWitnesser has come under fire for intentionally pairing with kids on Fortnite so that they can talk about religion.

‘DrWitnesser’ is no stranger to the news. DrWitnesser was suspended from Twitch for 7 days in 2020 for his efforts to “bring the gospel to gamers” after warning a Muslim child that he would be “sentenced to hell.” As a result of his “hateful conduct,” the self-described “esports missionary” was eventually permanently barred from the platform. Undaunted, DrWitnesser has subsequently switched his broadcasting activities to Kick and continues to upload previously recorded footage on YouTube.

But after being criticized for forcing religion on children in Fortnite, it appears the fervent Christian is not quite out of the woods just yet. The Twitter user “kayluckydog” posted screenshots of some of DrWitnesser’s most recent statements and advised Epic Games to “place this man on a watch list” by sharing them. According to Kay’s tweet, “He purposely plays Fortnite in hopes of getting matched up with kids, so he can try to talk to them about Jesus/religion. His content is creepy as f*** targeting kids.”

Although it cannot be proven that the streamer intentionally matches with children, it appears Kay is not the only one who has reservations. Erik, who tweets as “thecardsharp2,” publicly questioned YouTube about whether it was okay for users to behave in this way. “I’m a YouTube Premium subscriber and I certainly don’t wanna see videos of kids being targeted and harassed like this,” Erik said in their tweet.

DrWitnesser is still posting videos because YouTube hasn’t responded, so for the time being. DrWitnesser has been known to threaten legal action for religious discrimination if the platform decides to take any action against him for his inflammatory speech.
