Streamer Dr Disrespect Calls Out YouTube Gaming

After being snubbed at the Streamer Awards, popular streamer Dr Disrespect had some harsh words for YouTube Gaming, alleging that they don’t care about him despite his putting them on the map.

After the Twitch debacle, Dr Disrespect found a home in YouTube Gaming. It’s safe to say he struck the ground running when it came to Google’s gaming platform, which was still in its infancy. In a way, Doc’s addition to YouTube shifted a large number of everyday users to them. 

Despite his contributions to YouTube Gaming’s growth, Doc believes that he has been singled out, with no postings or promotions for him while lesser-known streamers receive such benefits, which has harmed his presence on the platform. He said; “When you put YouTube Gaming streaming on the map yet they don’t even follow you, tweet about you, mention you etc… I mean, seriously just stop and think about it for a second. We really are on another level, baby.”

Doc has been a staple on YouTube Gaming for a long time, so returning to Twitch now that their differences have been resolved makes little to no sense. Doc’s Tweet has acquired traction, and YouTube must have seen it and will most likely make amends before Doc feels the same way again.
