Streamer Blasted For Banning “Disgusting” Viewers Over Small Donations

Twitch streamer Katsplay has recently received a lot of backlash after a clip of her became viral where she was asking her moderators to ban those viewers who are donating less than a dollar. Donations are one of several monetization tools on Twitch and it is common for the streamers to thank those viewers who donated to their channel regardless of the amount they give.

However, it seems like it was not the case for twitch streamer Katsplay as during one of her streams, she expressed extreme disdain for those in her chat who weren’t donating enough. A clip during the said stream has become viral as she was calling her viewers “disgusting”. Many netizens have become upset on how she conducted herself on the platform. In the clip, Katspplay stated when a viewer donated less than a dollar; “I’m going to fucking ban you if you donate less than 10 bits. If you can’t afford to fucking subscribe to my channel, fucking leave! I fucking hate you guys.” Her rant continued on as she started saying that they are disgusting. She added; “They’re disgusting! I’m sorry if they’re f***ing disgusting and they can’t afford more than one dollar. Fucking ban them, I’m serious! They can’t even afford one fucking dollar. I don’t want poor people in my fucking chat.”

This clip started spreading through twitter and some twitter users have been sharing their thoughts regarding the streamer. One user even stated; “I can’t believe I used to follow her. I’m ashamed for her. Disgusting behavior, not to mention incredibly annoying”. So far, the backlash doesn’t seem to be getting Katsplay down, as she has even thanked those criticizing her for giving her “clout.” Only time will tell whether Katsplay will apologize for this.
