Sodapoppin Destroys Rare Pokemon Card Box

Chance Morris aka Sodapoppin is an American Twitch streamer and Internet personality. He has one of the largest followings on Twitch, with over 2.9 million followers and over 337 million views. During one of his recent live broadcasts, he went viral as he decided to destroy a box of vintage Pokemon cards, worth roughly around $20k.

Pokemon cards have been all the rage lately, especially on platforms like YouTube, Twitter, and Twitch. Many content creators have been purchasing rare cards and even opening packs of cards and showing it on their live stream. Some boxes of Pokemon cards can be purchased for outrageous amounts of money. In the live stream that Twitch streamer Sodapoppin broadcast, he destroyed cards from the vintage Team Rocket set, such as dropping a holographic Dark Charizard card into a glass of lubricant, and using The Boring Company’s flamethrower to light up a holographic Dark Slowbro card. However, it just didn’t stop there. Sodapoppin also dropped a rare holographic Dark Raichu card into a glass of lubricant valued at $5k.

He slammed a thick deck of cards on the table and recklessly shuffled them, undoubtedly damaging the edges of the cards. Regardless, Sodapoppin made it clear that the point of this essentially $20k stream was to mock the trend and condemn it for being like gambling made for children. There’s no denying that this stream was painful for some to watch.
