Shroud Reveals The Reason he Would Retire From Streaming

Popular Twitch streamer Michael Grzesiek, also known as Shroud, admits he has no plans to retire from his career unless fans stop watching him.

Shroud dominated the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive scene as an esports athlete. With around 9.3 million followers on his channel, Shroud is one of the biggest gamers on the streaming site.

During his most recent live broadcast when a viewer asked him when he would retire from streaming altogether, twitch streamer Shroud started explaining the only circumstance that would see him step down from content creation altogether. According to him, he has no plans to retire from Twitch any time soon, effectively saying that he would like to keep streaming for as long as he can.

He has said that as long as fans continue to watch his videos, he sees no reason why he would want to give up his channel, adding that he could easily see himself streaming for at least another ten to fifteen years or maybe even more. While he says he wishes to continue streaming for many years to come, even if he does eventually retire from Twitch, he admits that he could easily see himself still playing games when he’s in his 80s, jokingly adding that he would need a nurse to help him but would still keep gaming.

Here’s what he stated; “I’ll never retire. As long as you guys are here and interested and watching me, I will never quit. There’s just no reason for me to quit. As long as I’m making money, and I make money with you guys being here, I will keep doing it. I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m here for another 10, 15 years, maybe more. I play video games for a living; it’s the easiest job f***ing ever. Right now look, I’m not even playing. Free content, I’m watching… I might be 80-years-old and need a nurse to help me, and I’ll still be gaming.”
