Shroud Offers Thoughts On Diablo Immortal

While he agrees with the broad uproar over Diablo Immortal’s dependency on microtransactions, popular Twitch streamer Shroud says he can’t stop buying the game.

Diablo Immortal, Blizzard’s newest mobile game, has been faced with scathing criticism and accusations of being a clear example of a “pay-to-win” game. Despite this, a large number of streamers have taken up the game. Diablo Immortal has sustained 44,000 concurrent viewers with more over 5 million hours watched in the past week, according to Twitch Tracker, just days after its release. Shroud has streamed Diablo Immortal a number of times, much to the dismay of his chat. Despite being an ardent player, Shroud claimed he agrees with much of the game’s criticism.

Here’s what Shroud have stated; “I’m on everyone else’s side, the only difference here is that I have a problem and I can’t stop paying for it. They fucking got me. They got me. But I’m right with you guys, on everyone’s thoughts about the game. But I can’t fucking stop. They got me, dude.”

Shroud, who questioned his fans if there is a specific treatment for addiction to mobile game microtransactions, has since stopped broadcasting Diablo Immortal, heading his streams “I WON’T OPEN IMMORTAL” and referring to the game in Twitter as “you know what.”
