Shroud: “New World Will Succeed”

Twitch star Michael Grzesiek aka Shroud praised the game New World as he stated that it is different from traditional MMO and he speculated that it would rival World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy XIV.

New World is an upcoming MMO that is going to be released by the team at Amazon Game Studios in a little over a month. Indeed, the upcoming open-world MMO game has taken the world by storm with some streamers have started playing it as they have managed to get early access through Amazon’s closed beta.

One of these streamers was Shroud who recently gave his insights on the game on his recent youtube video upload and during his stream as he praised the game’s unique experience and claims it could rival popular MMOs like World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy. He stated; “New World is a pretty unique MMO. It’s not your traditional experience. It’s not like your traditional trinity system where you got, like a huge skill bar and everything. It’s more of a slow and methodical kind of combat”.

Essentially, Shroud believes that New World has done a great job of being an MMO while also being more accessible than some of its counterparts within the genre. Even though World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy XIV, and The Elder Scrolls Online all have major audiences, those games definitely aren’t for everyone.

However, New World seems to be more palatable which means that it could find success where the other games in question don’t. Shroud also said that he will be pouring a whole lot more time into New World once it actually releases. For now, the game hasn’t formally launched, but that will be changing next month as New World is poised to officially launch on PC on August 31st.
