Shroud Loses Interest In Battle Royale Games

Shroud couldn’t keep away from battle royale games while streaming when he was still playing CS:GO professionally for Cloud9. And he was one of the first players to dominate that genre in the world.

However, the North American has lost interest in battle royale games after playing practically every popular one, including Call of Duty: Warzone and Escape from Tarkov. shroud stated to a viewer while playing Apex Legends in one of his recent streams; “No, I am just not into BRs [battle royales] right now, I don’t really care for BRs at all, that’s the only thing that keeps me away”.

It’s possible that shroud thinks battle royale games are dull right now because the genre has become popular in recent years and a dozen companies have launched games. These games, on the other hand, follow a similar pattern.

Shroud has already expressed his dissatisfaction with battle royales in one of his streams. Battle royales are bad, according to the former CS:GO pro in February 2022. “The format is poo poo, unless someone invents a new format, but current BR formats piss me off,” he said.

According to Twitch analytics website SullyGnome, Shroud has been streaming fewer battle royale tiles during the last 30 days. Lost Ark (111 hours), The Cycle: Frontier (28 hours), and VALORANT have all been streamed extensively in North America (20 hours).
