Shroud Doesn’t Need to Force Views And Hype Anymore

Popular twitch streamer Michael Grzesiek famously known online as Shroud has claimed that he was at the point in his career that he no longer has to play the games that his viewers want to watch him play or follow whatever else is playing on Twitch. Shroud has become one of the most popular streamers nowadays gaining more than 9.3 million followers on his twitch channel. He previously moved to Mixer but when the Mixer shut down, he made his return on Twitch together with fellow streamer Ninja.

Ever since he returned to twitch, he wasn’t sticking to a certain game for a long time as he has been playing a variety of games such as Warzone, Apex Legends, and Valorant. He also played on the IRL streams where he was playing some board games on stream together with his pals. Recently, he tried out playing the newly released Blizzard, The Burning Crusade expansion for World of Warcraft Classic. While some fans are happy to watch him play whatever, there are others that will find someone else to watch in the meantime. And during Shroud’s June 7th live broadcast, he was asked by a viewer if he ever had any worries about some games being too boring and slow for viewers.

Shroud immediately responded stating; “No, I’m kind of at the point of my career where like the grind, so to speak, isn’t as important as it once was. So, I don’t need to just like hustle, hustle, hustle, play the games that everyone wants to see always, always, always. I don’t need to do that anymore. I feel like I’m kind of past that, you know?” He further noted that if he wasn’t past that point, he’d be playing Warzone just like everybody else is but everyone gets sick of sticking with the most popular choice before long.
