Shroud Calls Out Sexist Valorant Player

Michael “Shroud,” a brave pro and seasoned Twitch streamer, came across a player who appeared to be avoiding games in order to avoid playing with other female gamers.

A player by the name of YourLocalSmurf observed a woman playing next to him in the pre-game lobby. YourLocalSmurf said he was going to dodge after the observation and said he “lost every game with a female” in it. Shroud expressed his shock at the sudden statement and interaction by saying: “Yo, you… yo, yo. Okay, all right. He actually, he actually did it.”

The former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive veteran played Valorant and other first-person shooter games while doing a nine-hour livestream earlier today with his girlfriend, Hannah “Bnans.”

After hearing a female gamer speak in the voice chat, a user by the name of YourLocalSmurf made the following comment to Shroud when they were both in the pre-game Agent selection room. He stated: “Hey, bro, are we playing with two females? All right, I got to dodge, bro. I’ve lost every game with a female. Good luck on your next match.”

The three-person preconfigured party went back to the game’s home screen as soon as the player exited. The Canadian hoped not to play against the poisonous Valorant player again after failing to get his name. He inquired as to whether such an incidence frequently occurred in games with Valorant rankings, to which Bnans responded: “Oh my god, yeah! All the time. It’s either like, someone incredibly s*xist, or someone who like, umm, aggressively, like, weird, you know?”

There was a brief moment of silence before Shroud gave his opinion, saying: “I wonder why, like, I would think it would be getting better, right? Like, you think it would be getting better. Well, maybe not. We have so many like, we have so many influencers who are just sh***y people that don’t realize. Like, they might not actually be sh***y people; they just don’t realize the impact that they have, I think. I think that’s what it is. I don’t think they’re actually sh***y people. I think they just don’t realize what impact they’re having on younger generations. That’s what I think the real one is, or it’s just money, I guess. Probably just money, maybe they do know, I think.”

Bnans said that the player’s name, tag, and rank were visible to Shroud’s Twitch viewers.
