Ryan Kavanaugh Case Against Ethan Klein

Recently, Ethan Klein published a new video in which he updated his fans on Ryan Kavanaugh’s ongoing lawsuits against him. Klein said in the video that he is being sued by Kavanaugh for the fourth time, this time over the satirical website https://doesryankavanaughlooklikeharveyweinstein.com, which compares Kavanaugh’s face to Weinstein’s face, presumably so that people can tell the two apart.

Ethan Klein explained; “Ryan Kavanaugh filed a UDRP to try to take down the website. He is saying we are cybersquatting on the domain. . . We just went through this process, there was a website called Teddyfresh.net, they were using our photos, using our models, they were using our product shots, they were selling our clothes, I don’t know what they were [actually] selling. because they were impersonating us, there was a panel and everything, we finally were able to take back the domain, so now when you go to teddyfresh.net redirects back to our website.”

The Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy, which oversees domain name registrars and prohibits imitation of well-known websites, is the method Klein is alluding to. Kavanaugh is reportedly using the procedure to shut down a satire site that compares him to Weinstein. This is a “misuse” of the process, according to Klein, who believes Kavanaugh was hoping they wouldn’t react, resulting in a default ruling in favor of the complaint.

Klein has stated that he intends to contest the latest claim and will continue to maintain the website https://doesryankavanaughlooklikeharveyweinstein.com

Klein is currently facing a defamation lawsuit from Kavanaugh, who claims Klein defamed him in a variety of ways, including buying purchased traffic to harass Kavanaugh, pushing unsavory stories using SEO, and referencing news articles about Kavanaugh on his podcast that made Kavanaugh look bad. Triller, Kavanaugh’s company, is also suing Ethan and H3H3 Productions for piracy after Klein used a little clip from last year’s Jake Paul vs. Ben Askren fight on his H3 Podcast.

The Kleins are no strangers to lawsuits. In 2017, they won a landmark fair use lawsuit against Matt Hosseinzadeh, and they recently announced their intention to sue MBC, a Korean media company that copyrighted their channel after Klein watched a clip of one of their shows on the H3 podcast, and the MBC show used one of H3H3’s own clips without permission.
