Rigondeaux Feels ‘Dehumanised’ After Being Racially Abused

Twitch Streamer Rigondeaux said that he felt sick to his stomach after an incident where he was being racially abused in Nottingham.

Rigondeaux is a well-known Twitch Streamer from Nottingham. He shared recently that he left feeling “dehumanised” after he was being racially abused in the said city. He shared and said that a racial slur was directed at him by a passerby while he was walking through the city last June 19th.

He said that he had visited a Sushi restaurant called the ‘YO’ on Weekday Cross around 7pm before walking home after his meal. He says that he passed the Tesco Express Store in Fletcher Gate and says that the city started to get a little hectic because of the drinkers. Moments later, he encountered a group of about five lads and one of them directed the racial slur at him.

He shared that after one said the racial slur, none of the group laughed believing that they also weren’t cool with it. However, the said slur made him go back to his childhood when racism on his street was more rampant and said that it was a horrible feeling and that made him feel dehumanised.

Rigondeaux has more than 64,000 twitch followers and he regularly streams RuneScape.

He shared his encounter during Nottinghamshire Live and described it as “short but petty”. Rigondeaux has not reported the incident to the police.
