Radiant Valorant Streamer Solista Banned

Valorant streamer and Radiant player Solista was banned live during his twitch live broadcast for cheating. Radiant is the highest rank in the competitive spectrum of Valorant. Reaching Radiant undoubtedly requires a great amount of skill, gamesense, and consistent practice. However, it seems like a popular Valorant streamer Solista took a shortcut down the path of ranking up by cheating.

Needless to say, it didn’t end well for him. While streaming on Twitch on April 14th, streamer Solista had his game on Split terminated after 18 rounds as the anti-cheat message flashed up on screen, informing players that a cheater had been discovered in the game. After the message flashed the screen that Solista was actually banned as it read; “You have been banned from playing VALORANT”. Solista was a bit shocked as he said in response; “What, really dude?”

The clip of the stream where Solista was banned went viral on Reddit across multiple different subreddits, with players taken aback by Solista’s stats, noting that he’d hit 65th in North America and played with Shroud and different Valorant pros.

Also, many players have since suggested Solista had been cheating for some time and it had aided him in ranking so highly. Regardless, if Solista was truly cheating, many members of the Valorant community are concerned with how long it took Vanguard to detect him. Solista’s ban from Valorant appears to be permanent until further notice and his twitch channel has also disappeared, possibly due to violating the streaming service’s policy against cheating on stream.
