Projeckt Melody No Longer Banned

Streamer Projekt Melody is a Twitch streamer and a virtual YouTuber (VTuber). She was recently banned from the Twitch platform because of a DMCA strike. A 3D artist and modeler, DigitrevX claimed to be the designer for Projekt Melody’s virtual body. The artist filed a DMCA takedown against the Twitch channel of Projekt Melody. He claimed that the streamer was infringing on his copyright. However, after 2 days of being banned, Projekt Melody was unbanned from Twitch, losing her partnership.

She tweeted out on Twitter; “We’re back!!! Thank you science team for all of the love and support. I’m so happy and grateful you’re all with me”! She also released a statement on her TwitLonger post about how the 3D artist issued her a DMCA takedown. She stated; “DigitrevX filed DMCA takedowns on all of my VODs, claiming he owns the copyright to my body. He had also been posting about this on Twitter for weeks as well, but since I try to avoid drama, I’ve ignored it”. She further explained that DigitrevX was paid in full for his services and design work.

The streamer also sent messages to the 3D artist in Dec. 2019 confirming that she owned the intellectual property, with DigitrevX in agreement. She also stated that DigitrevX continued to demand unreasonable monetary compensation and promotion for his new project, YFU BABY. She stated; “I’ve been dealing with it for months, and it’s given me endless stress which made me cancel streams some days because I was too shaky from the anxiety. I kept expecting it to resolve itself since the initial claim had no merit”.
