Pokimane’s Reaction to FaZe Clan’s Cryptocurrency Drama

Popular female twitch streamer Imane Anys aka Pokimane has reacted to the recent controversy surrounding the FaZe’s cryptocurrency drama during her latest podcast together with twitch streamer Mizkif.

Pokimane is a well known female streamer on the platform gaining herself a massive followers of more than 8 million on her twitch channel. She is also known for being open about her concerns and thoughts about some issues and controversies.

Now, during one of her recent live broadcasts together with twitch streamer Mizkif, the two got into a discussion about FaZe Clan suspending their content creators over promotion of sketchy cryptocurrency and stated that it might be “illegal”.

On July 2nd, FaZe Clan removed Kay from the organization and suspended Jarvis, Nikan, and Teeqo amidst cryptocurrency drama that saw members promoting sketchy cryptocurrency.

Pokimane and Mizkif were stunned about the announcement as Pokimane went on to slam the content creators, calling them greedy for pushing sketchy crypto on their fans. Pokimane was very critical of the content creators who were at fault and bashed them for showing off before praising FaZe Clan for their decision. She argued that the popular esports org was essentially admitting that the actions of some of its members were possibly illegal. She stated; “If that is not verbatim saying that’s illegal, I don’t know whatever could be.”

Then pokimane further explained as to why she is confused by the influx of influencers promoting these schemes to their viewers. Mizkif replied stating that it’s difficult for some streamers to say no to promoting the digital currency due to fear of their money one day going away which Pokimane quickly hits back stating; “Is it though? If you LITERALLY have millions in your bank account, how is that going to just ‘go away?’”

According to pokimane, rich streamers shouldn’t be this desperate as she added; “I think they just want more money and don’t care. Let’s say you got three million in the bank account. Your lifestyle between three million and five isn’t going to change. If it’s not going to impact yourself whatsoever then why are you doing these things?”

This isn’t the first time Pokimane has been critical of wealthy streamers making money by promoting things to their viewers as back on June 28th pokimane also called out Trainwrecks for doing gambling streams.
