Pokimane Was Nearly Banned

As we all know, the word “cracker” has been the subject of a recent heated debate, and it appears that Pokimane, a popular Twitch streamer, is in hot water over it.

During one of her recent streams, she was almost forced to say the word “cracker” in response to a generous donation from an outspoken fan. She would have gotten herself into a lot of trouble if she had done so. HasanAbi, Racism, Pokimane, Twitch, Twitch Ban, Cracker, Twitch ControversyHasan Piker, another well-known Twitch streamer, was recently banned from the platform for repeatedly using this offensive term. Twitch has blacklisted the phrase “Cracker” after it appears to have broken the platform’s anti-racism policies.

Pokimane’s trap unfurled in an unpredictable manner. She received a deluge of donations on her chat, just like she did on her stream. She expressed gratitude to all of her subscribers and re-subscribers. To demonstrate their appreciation, streamers frequently read out their usernames, and she did the same. She observed a username with a red flag, who was an anonymous person, offering her a one-month Tier 1 subscription at that same moment.

However, she was surprised to discover that the username was the word “cracker,” which she was about to say. This time, she barely avoids the prospect of a ban due to her professionalism or quick reflexes.

The term has sparked a lot of debate on Twitch, and the community is still debating it. Many people appreciate Twitch’s action, but others, such as HasanAbi and minders, believe it is just another term and that Twitch’s roughness is unjustified. There were creators, such as Nmplol, who stated why HasanAbi’s ban was unreasonable.

As the debate about what is proper and wrong in the use of a word continues, many streamers are refraining from using the word or expressing any position on the subject. Furthermore, they appear to be playing it safe, as if they don’t want to stir up another round of controversy by using the phrase, as Pokimane did.
