Pokimane Responding To Twitch Haters

Imane “Pokimane” Anys did what many individuals in her situation would do: she contributed to her parents’ retirement.

But instead of appreciating it for the good deed that it was, people attacked her for ‘bragging’ about it online. They believed she ought to have kept it a secret. 

Pokimane initially approached the problem diplomatically. She gave an explanation of why it meant a lot to her and was something she wanted to share. She said; “As an immigrant, I’ve always felt indebted to them. Now, nothing makes me happier than repaying them for their sacrifices.”

However, once more, the detractors turned it into something negative, claiming that it had nothing to do with being an immigrant. Pokimane then exploded on her Twitch haters. 

She said; “So many ignorant comments, so I’mma do a little educating here. I was born in Morocco, a third world country, and my amazing parents immigrated to Canada when I was four. I grew up being painfully aware of how much they missed their parents, siblings, friends, back in Morocco. But they were always so happy that their sacrifices allowed my brother and I to get a great education and pursue whatever we wanted.”

She wouldn’t even be able to become a creator if her parents hadn’t made the sacrifices they did for her to have access to the tools and technologies. She would always be grateful for it, and she was so happy to be able to repay the favor in some manner that she just had to tell her friends and fans about it. 

It’s not her problem if people are going to complain about that. Every time Pokimane makes an announcement, her detractors come out of the woodwork, and occasionally, despite her appreciation for white knights who stand up for her, she enjoys resolving issues on her own. The Twitch star didn’t hold back at all since this was one of those occasions.
