Pokimane Reacts to Netflix’s Squid Game

Twitch streamer Imane Anys aka Pokimane is recognized for sharing her thoughts on the various things she tries with her stream viewers. She’s even painted a gorgeous image live on stream while following a Bob Ross tutorial. Now, in a recent stream, she revealed her thoughts on the Netflix series Squid Game, which is currently trending.

Squid Game premiered on September 17, 2021, and the globe is currently enthralled with the show. The story revolves around 456 individuals from various walks of life to play games that are typically associated with children. The games, however, have life-threatening repercussions in this case.

Pokimane, like many others, binge-watched the episode and live-streamed her thoughts. She tweeted that she had just finished watching Squid Game with her fans. To avoid giving away any spoilers while sharing her thoughts, she asked those who had not yet seen the show but planned to do so to pause the chat for a moment.

She began by stating that while she enjoyed the plot of the series, she did not enjoy how gory it was. Here’s what she said; “By the way, I just finished Squid Game, and I can’t believe so many of you guys recommended it to me. It’s so gory! I really really liked the plot line, but it’s so gory!”

She went into great detail on what she liked about the show and how much she admired the cast adding; “I really liked the plot idea, I liked some of the twists and turns that they had. I didn’t like that it almost felt like there was too much shock value gore, like I didn’t need to see that much.”

She did, however, state that the idea of Squid Game being too gory was a personal preference, as she disliked it. She did, however, reaffirm that she appreciated the plotline and found it highly interesting, which is a sentiment shared by many fans.
