Pokimane Reacts To Amber Heard Comparison

Pokimane flaunted her fiery new hair color in her Twitch chat… and some fans couldn’t help but make a joke about her resemblance to a particular Aquaman star.

Any big style change made by Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys, the most followed woman on Twitch, causes quite a commotion among her nine million devoted followers. Anys proudly rocked the ‘new to Twitch’ style last year, revealing that she’s a curly-haired queen and exposing that she’s a curly-haired queen. While some viewers were upset by the alteration, the internet as a whole was supportive of her curly hair (not to mention the excitement that happened when she got a temporary tattoo). 

Anys has changed her appearance once more, this time by dying her hair a different color. 

Pokimane debuted her red-orange hair on her Twitch stream on May 8th. It’s a minor distinction, but it’s apparent, and it’s clear she was eager to hear the results of her chat. In an amusing turn of events, her supporters mocked her by claiming they “couldn’t tell the difference” and that the new ‘do “looked the same” as before.

While Anys was amused by the jokes, there was one particular remark that she couldn’t ignore. One fan made a sarcastic comparison to actress Amber Heard, who plays Aquaman and has bright red hair.

Heard is now involved in a lengthy defamation battle with her ex-husband, Johnny Depp, who is suing her for $50 million for an op-ed she penned for the Washington Post in 2018. Poki was not amused by the comparison as she stated; “Hell no, I’m not! I am not. I am not! I am very, very, very not. That ain’t me! No siree! Nope!”

While her Twitch talk was all in good fun, it appears that Anys was not going to let that comparison slip. Overall, it appears that her new hair color was well-received, ushering in a new era of fashion for the streaming powerhouse.
