Pokimane: Impact of xQc Move To YouTube

Big Twitch stars like xQc and Pokimane are also in the spotlight as a result of the recent huge migration of streamers from Twitch to YouTube. People have assumed that after Twitch’s subathon king Ludwig switched to the red platform, nothing is stopping other famous streamers like xQc and Pokimane from doing the same.

Pokimane, on the other hand, stated during a recent livestream that she believes xQc is so important to Twitch that Twitch might even pay to discourage xQc from investigating alternative streaming sites.

Pokimane confirmed her reasoning for the comment, claiming that xQc’s importance to Twitch stemmed from his versatility as a streamer. She believes that xQc can get over 60 thousand views streaming just about anything, which no other streamer has been able to do so far. Other streamers may have attracted more viewers, but they did it by broadcasting the same content every day. She stated; “Those are two different things. And I don’t think he is such a brand risk that Twitch doesn’t want him.”

She also debunked the myth that if YouTube bought a group of streamers that collaborate frequently, it would cause Twitch a lot more harm. She said that if they purchase streamers that play together or collaborate, they are essentially purchasing the same group of viewers, which is not a very cost-effective option.

She used the personalities like Sykkuno, Valkyrae, and Fuslie to illustrate her point. She noted that all three streamers have around the same number of viewers, and that the viewers are virtually the same people. xQc, on the other hand, might attract the same number of viewers on its own, making the French-Canadian streamer a more cost-effective option for YouTube.

She did, however, emphasize that Twitch is a considerably more adaptable platform, offering viewers a wide range of content. As a result, it continues to be the most popular streaming site, despite the fact that other services such as YouTube are not far behind.
