Pokimane Defends GTA Streamer

After a troll insulted fellow streamer ‘AnthonyZ’ for the voice he employs during GTA RP, Twitch icon Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys stepped up for him.

Pokimane, like many others on Twitch, has discovered the world of GTA RP – custom GTA Online servers where players create personas to roleplay as. The roleplaying component of GTA has been so well received that Rockstar is said to be integrating portions of it into GTA 6. Pokimane has praised AnthonyZ, a GTA RP streamer, on several occasions, praising his keybindings and characters. And if there’s one thing Pokimane won’t put up with, it’s her friends being abused.

During a February 22 broadcast, the Moroccan-Canadian stomped a nefarious viewer in her chat room who was harassing Anthony, and she didn’t hold back. Anys acted quickly after pulling up a comment from a viewer ridiculing Anthony’s voice, labeling him a “weirdo” and a “nerd.”

She blasted, “This is one of the weirdest f**king comments I’ve ever seen in my eight years of streaming. Anthony has been RPing one of the most enjoyable characters. I think the way he talks is f**king hilarious. The audacity of you, goatedgambler69, to say some sh*t like this when we’re all having a nice time… is lame as f**k.”

Pokimane didn’t stop there, slapping the troll and accusing them of just making the comments in her troll since he was most likely banned in his. She said while banning the troll; “I want you to know you’re not welcome there, you’re not welcome here. Unacceptable. It makes me so mad that some random weirdo can say something like that. It’s so annoying for you to inject your negative-ass attitude into a group and community of people who are enjoying themselves. Stop.”

Trolls should think twice about bothering Pokimane in her chat room in the future, especially after the public scolding she gave live on stream.
