Pokimane Criticizes Twitch For Not Cracking Down on ‘Hot Tub’ Meta

Twitch streamer Imane Anys aka Pokimane has given her opinion about the ever controversial Hot tub streams during one of her recent live broadcasts as she stated that she believes Twitch deserves most of the blame and not the streamers who are doing it. Hot tub streams are currently dominating the Amazon-owned streaming platform over the last few weeks. The streaming platform is popular for banning streamers and content creators if they break the terms and conditions set by them.

However, in the last few months, female streamers started hot tub streams, which surprisingly evaded the platform’s terms of sexually suggestive content. This has caused some big streamers including xQc and pokimane to give their opinions about the controversy. It’s also seen countless hot tub streamers get banned, including those who are mocking it. Now, twitch streamer Pokimane has talked about this during her latest streamer where she discussed the role of Twitch and content creators behind all this situation.

She went on to say that she hopes that people don’t hold resentment towards the individuals for doing the hot tub streams. Instead, pokimane believes that Twitch has done a bad job of making it clear what is acceptable and what isn’t and brainstormed possible solutions, including a re-classification of content that falls within the grey area. Because of this, she stated that there should be some way to categorize that in-between type of content. Pokimane also complimented Twitch for trying to make things straightforward but she believes human moderation is necessary, otherwise suggestive streams will take over the whole platform. Regardless, Twitch has already addressed the issue, claiming they’re “closely” monitoring the situation.
